Onion Gratin Soup

Onion gratin soup made with Kuze Fuku & Sons Vegetable Umami Dashi Soup Broth.


Serves 2
  • 250g Onion

  • 15g Butter

  • ★Vegetable Umami Dashi (1 packet)

  • 400mL Water

  • 6 Baguette slices (about 1 cm each)

  • 50g Cheese


Peel and thinly slice onions, place in a heat-safe dish, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave in a 500w microwave oven for 5 minutes. Put butter and onions in a frying pan and sauté over low heat until brown. In a separate saucepan, put water and 1 Vegetable Umami Dashi packet and make broth according to package instructions. Add butter and onion mixture and heat. Brown the baguette slices. Place soup, baguette slices and cheese in a heat-safe bowl and bake in a toaster or oven until cheese is melted.
