Chicken Vegetable Soup

Chicken vegetable soup made with Kuze Fuku & Sons Vegetable Umami Dashi Soup Broth.


Serves 2-3
  • ★Vegetable Umami Dashi (contents of one packet)

  • 400 mL water

  • 5 Chicken wings (or chicken of your choice)

  • 1/4 head Cabbage

  • 3 Small Potatoes

  • 1/2 Onion

  • 1/3 Carrot

  • 2 Tsp. Rice Oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Season chicken with salt and pepper and let stand for 5 minutes. In a pan, add half the oil and cook chicken until browned and remove. Peel potatoes, wrap in plastic wrap and cook in a 500w microwave for 3 minutes. Cut cabbage, onion and carrot into bite-size pieces. Clean pan of chicken and oil residue, pour in the remaining oil, add chicken and potatoes and fry. Combine water, contents of Vegetable Umami Dashi packet, chicken, potatoes and vegetables, cover, and simmer over medium heat until all ingredients are cooked. Serve in a bowl.
