Deep Fried Tofu

A quick and easy deep fried tofu recipe with Shishito peppers topped with a broth made from Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi Soup Broth.


Serves 1
  • 10 oz Tofu

  • Potato Starch

  • 3 Shishito Peppers

  • 1.5 cups Water

  • 1 packet Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi Soup Broth

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp Mirin


Cut 10 oz of Tofu into the desired size. Wrap in paper towels and pat dry. Coat the tofu in a generous amount of potato starch. Deep fry the tofu in oil at 330°F. Cut small notches in the Shishito peppers and then deep fry them. In a saucepan, simmer 1 sachet of Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi Soup Broth in 1.5 cups of water until steeped. Add soy sauce and mirin and mix well. On a plate, arrange the tofu and peppers and pour the contents of the saucepan atop them. Serve.
