Dashi Seasoned French Fries

Homemade fried potatoes seasoned with Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi and butter.


Serves 2
  • 3 Medium-size potatoes, peeled and cut into french fries
    (or use 3-4 oz of frozen french fries)

  • 1 Tbsp Butter (melted)

  • 1 packet Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi

  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil


Warm the vegetable oil to 340° F (170° C), add fries and fry gently until slightly golden brown. Remove from oil. In a separate bowl, add melted butter and fries, mixing well until the fries are coated in the butter. Cut open one packet of Kuze Fuku & Sons Dashi and gradually sprinkle its contents atop the fries, mixing the fries around in the bowl as needed, so that the dashi is well distributed. Serve while still warm.

(Alternatively, you can blend the melted butter and the dashi together before using this combination to coat the fries.)
